The floating villa has been a challenge in many ways. The task of designing a floating villa became the task of developing a new way of living that recognizes the special qualities of a life close to nature. A residence for a client grew to an industrial project, with leading words as; sustainability, low maintenance, development of materials and building, care for the environment, low energy costs, identity.
A comfortable living and a lay-out that gives you the optimal feeling of the closeness to the water. 178 sqm of living area, 30 sqm terrace close to the water and a 100sqm "garden" on the roof.
And during 2004, in cooperation with the city of Kalmar, Sweden's first city plan that regulates floating living.
Villa Näckros was nominated for the Swedish Building Industries (Byggindustrin) price "building of the year" 2003.
Villa Näckros has been published in several Swedish and international magazines and papers.
